Thats what MILDs are all about. Changing your focus to LDing as you are about to fall asleep so you will be more likely to think about it in your dream. Same principle really |

so i've been gone a little while and i can't remember if this was ever said or not but lately i've been going lucid because i'm always thinking about LDing during the day so when i'm dreaming i'll frequently dreaming about me trying to LD, and it works. It sounds cool right? well, now thaatt i've been having more lucid dreams i've come to realize that i've got close to no control. like i'll be trying to fly in a straight line and for whatever reason I end up going in circles and curves and fuckin anything but straight... things like this happen to me all the time while i LD. so i got to work on this. Does anybody else LD this way or have the same control problem i have? |

Dripping time into a seed that grows into the world and sprouts a fruit that ripens into humans. They stretch up into the sky looking for purpose, wandering when and if their time has come. Realizing the potential they have, they select their paths which weave in and out to make the good and the bad, the pure and the corrupt...

don't worry about control. just try to have fun. flying is difficult and maybe you should just try "large jumps" or just exploring your dream realm. don't focus on achieving what you can't do yet, but try figuring out what you CAN do. |

Yea, I've been having the same problems lately. In my first Lucids I would fly or float everywhere I went, but now I have a lot of trouble flying at all. On Monday I was able to fly, but like you said it wasn't in a straight line. It was like I was a piece of paper in the wind floating around randomly. Two of my childhood friends started running towards their house and I tried to fly after them, but then a gust of wind or something pushed me straight backwards and they ran out of sight. Then on Wednesday I was walking around just fine, but then all of a sudden I couldn't walk straight. I was stumbling around and falling over like a drunken idiot. So I tried to fly since I couldn't walk, but that didn't work either. I was forced to stumble around and lean against walls for support. I laid down on a couch and the dream started to fade, so I stabilized it, stood up, and was able to walk just fine again. I dunno what causes this, but I assume more time lucid will help. If you let it get in your head it will only get worse. Just go with the flow and enjoy the dream regardless of your level of control. |

jumping i can do, but then i always get stuck in the ground when i land, and then move really slow. seriously, it's like there is nothing i can do. |

They only suck if you let them. Just because you don't have great control doesn't mean they cant be fun. Just being Lucid for me is enjoyable. If you let the fact that you don't have control put you in a negative mood it's just going to get worse. Dreams rely a lot on your feelings, if you feel that Lucid dreaming 'sucks' then they will. If you feel that your lucids are fun and enjoyable they will be. Don't let your lack of control put you in a negative mindset. |

anything related to your dreaming that you think about during your day will work as when your asleep, your mind is puting a picture to whatever you have thought during the day in some form. Its like looking into a memory card of a camera and displaying the images. and anything that you see in your dream that can remind you of your day or real life will make you go lucid. |
