    Thread: Are there any constant Lucid Dreamers here?

      Are there any constant Lucid Dreamers here?

      Just wondering if there are many people here who have lucid dreams every night or at least 4-5 days a week. if yes can you share with us with detail all the relevent things you do to prepare, weather if is mental techniques, food you eat or whatever you do that gives you lucid dreams.

      i have long vivid dreams everynight but latly LD is just not happening as i just go along with the dream plot because its so real life like, and by end of it when it does get really wierd and unreal because iv gone along with it for the whole dream the realisation doesnt come.

      so if anyone have reliable methods/food/herbs/suppliments please share

      In my mind, constant lucid dreaming can be both good and bad...

      Good = lucid dreams mean you are dreaming...which is good.

      Bad = too much of anything can be harmful...even if its anti-perspirant deodorant it can be harmful to your health...MODERATION is the key.

      I have not had a lucid dream since my first lucid dream when i joined the website...I am fine with that...try to not have one TOO often.

      Yeah. It's like normal dreaming and there deffinetely are people in this forum who can enter LD everyday.
      My opinion:
      *Lucid Dreams, OBEs, Astral Projections are one and the same.
      *There are no levels of lucidity. Quality changes if you apply some deepening.
      *Lucid Dreams do not last more than 20 minutes.
      *Wolves are beautiful.

      I had been consistent over the past couple weeks. I was lucid 4 days two weeks ago, and 4 days in a row last week. Each day I had 2-5 lucids; I chain DEILDs a lot. But lately I've been on a 5day dry spell . I think I've been unsuccessful because it's my first week at a new job; I'm assuming that is causing some sort of mental stress. I use WILDs which is why I'm able to have them frequently. And I don't use any supplements.

      What kind of WILD do you do? I mean, can you describe what are you doing?

      All the data I have points to naps being the key. Ideally, sleep for 6 hours, then wake up for 2, and then sleep another 2 hours. Try this on a Saturday and you will be lucid.

      Then there is also data that taking a 2-3 hour nap in the afternoon is very conducive. This works best for me as my son takes a nap in the afternoons anyways.

      well the way i look at it LD is you have to realise that your dreaming during a dream, and that is the only part im having trouble with. So is there any reasone why sleep pattern, or napping during the day or WBTB increase the chance of you realising your in a dream? i undrestand why the mothods such as WILD, MILD, DIELD would work.

      doesnt matter when i sleep i always have long vivid dreams, the problem is that i just follow the dream plot as if its normal life and dont realise its a dream regardless of how wierd it is.

      Hi everybody, I have some doubts regardind the wake-back to bed technique because for me sleeping 6 h then staying awake 1 h and then go back to sleep does not work well because my sleep cycle is severely disrupted in this way and it takes too long to relax again and I hardly sleep again. On the other hand, if I wake in the middle of the night and remember my last dream and then keep the last image in my mind while trying to sleep again it is very likely that I will re-enter the same dream and then the dream signs (especially dream character changing their faces) become a lot more striking often causing lucidity. In short, I doñ´t think we should stay awake very long in the middle of the night, only enough to go to he bathroom should be enough time. Does anyone agree ?

      It really depends on the person... as everything in lucid dreaming
      My good time is about 45 minutes, but an hour worked for me as well. You can figure it out only through experiments. For some people it's not even necessary to get out of bed at all. Who knows, maybe only few minutes would do for you.

      im glad you mentioned this as the last few times i was lucid this is exactly what i did and it works everytime and you just reminded me of it again as iv been annoyed cuz of the LD drought its stopped me from thinking about it

      I believe that is where WBTB comes in - it interrupts your normal deep sleep / REM cycle with a cycle of full consciousness.

      Another thing I would like to say is that reality checks have never been a tool for me because I never remember to use them in my dreams. On the other hand, dream signs are extremely helpful. I think if we work on having more vivid dreams, the dream signs will be more pronounced and easily recognized. Also, when the dreams are vivid, we are more aware of the dream plot and the dream characters so we can notice the usual anomalies of a dream. So my question is what causes the dreams to become more vivid.

      Heh, for me it's the opposite - I can just randomly perform a RC, but never notice dream signs... Well, that may well be because I haven't found a normal dream sign for now, so I haven't been working on telling myself to recognize them.

      This is actually what I want to reach - develop a lucid dreaming mindset in order to be constant LDer. I want to know exactly how my dreams differ from my waking life, because I too love this realization itself.

      Nice to hear that. If we can keep continuous awareness of sleep stages and dream it would be great but I think this is a task for the masters. Maybe we can do it one day.

      I am far from a constant lucid dreamer, but I have had 2 lucid dream/ week now in two weeks so the method I use is effective
      But what I do to prepare to have a lucid dream is just motivation and belief.

      I now that if I do everything correct I will have a lucid dream it's no gamble it will work and if it don't I know that I do something wrong.
      And when you have had one "real" vivid lucid dream the motivation is not a problem x)
      But if you want to do MILD or traditional WILD confidence and belief helps alot.

      Well this week I've had 5 or 4....back in august I had 3 a week, and I stopped for 2 months and got back in it in January 2011 and now I'm getting about 3 a week ..that's frequent to me

      Nightly lucid dreams

      I lucid dream almost every night. It is not intentional and I didn’t realize what it was until I described my dreaming to my daughter. I don’t know if it is a good thing or bad. The dreams are so vivid and not always pleasant even though I can change the dream and know I’m dreaming. I am just beginning to research lucid dreams now that I know there is insight into what I am experiencing. I see that many people want to lucid dream and I am curious as to why?

I would suggest that you start your own new thread on this subject, as there are a few DV members who are self-proclaimed "naturals" and might have something to share... also, I think the question you asked, "Why do people want to LD," is well worth discussion, so go ahead and put it out there!
