Reality Check in dreams didnt work in the dream.

Im going to make this quick. About 2 weeks ago i had 3 dreams in one night in which all of them, with out controlling did a reality check. I did the nose plug RC and i could breathe perfectly. I did not go lucid once, this is the only time ive done a reality check in a dream :/. Any help or suggestions to get lucid? thanks!

Are you saying that you could breathe with your nose plugged, yet did not go lucid?

Believe it or not, just reading these forums is a tremendous help. It helps your mind start thinking about dreams on a daily basis. This increases the chances that you will think about dreams while you are dreaming.
We are all full of help and suggestions. Just because something didn't work the first time does not mean that it never will. From what I have heard, the first few are the hardest. I honestly don't remember mine.

The easiest way that I have found has been WBTB. I have about a 90% success rate with that one.

When you reality check in real life actually think about the surroundings dont just rc and go on.

You should tell yourself what's the meaning behind this RC. If you just look at your hands in waking life without trying to remember that they should look only like this and then you raise your hands in a dream and each has ten green fingers with huge claws - then you'll think it's fine, that's how hands are supposed to look. The same with breathing. You should remember that the only possible scenario in which you can breath with your nose pinched is when you're dreaming.
