A couple days ago I had my first prolonged lucid dream (DILD), but unfortunately it was kind of a "bust" in the sense that I didn't really accomplish anything that I wanted to.

From a lot of my reading I seem to get the impression that in lucid dreams, people suggest taking a "lucidity pill" or announcing that they will have a lucid dream every time they sleep.

Does this work? Are there actually techniques that can be done inside of a dream that can program your body to "naturally" lucid dream?
