IS there anything that could effect my recall?

IS there anything that could effect my recall? cause i barely remember my dreams for the past week. i go to bed on time, like usually around 9.00 or 10.00. I hate not remembering my dreams it ruins my day kinda because i like thinking about them during the day lol!

      I got a few ideas.
      1. This is something i personally do to get LDs in the morning. Set your alarm about 30 min before you need to wake up. When you do wake up, just set it ahead 15 minutes. You'll likely remember the dream once u wake up from that 15 minutes. Write something quick about it down and go to sleep for another 15 minutes. Do same thing. I do this 5-6 times in the morning sometimes and have alot of dreams. Not many are lucid, but i've been having a dry spell lately.
      2. There are lucid aids out there. Go to the lucid aids section in attaining lucidity and look up some foods and multivitamins u can take to increase vividness and recall.
      3. If you smoke weed, just stop for the night. Weed can hamper your ability to recall dreams. It doesn't do it for everyone, but it can make it harder to remember your dreams.
      4. When you do wake up from sleeping, try to just lay their for a second. Think back to your dreams. Just sit for a few seconds and sometimes your dreams will just flush right back into your head.

      Hope this helps

I suggest you try out the points above, and perhaps changing your sleeping hours might work. Ever heard of a REM rebound? If you sleep more than you usually do, you will dream alot more. Try experimenting with sleeping less than 5 hours one day and as much as you can the next. I guarantee you will have tons of dreams. Good luck!

Staying in bed for awhile definitely works for me. If you lay in the position you woke up in it is so much easier to remember them. The moment I stand up my memory of them fades.

I seem to be having a similar problem. I usually remember 4-6 dreams daily but for the past couple of days i can only remember 2 or 3. I have to say that i did start eating before sleeping just recently, so maybe eating a meal before sleeping may effect dream recall
