Falling asleep within the dream is a pretty cool way to obtain your first lucid. Also, you very well could have had a false awakening. Anytime the dream abruptly ends like that, perform a reality check to make sure you aren't still dream. In my experience, sleeping/dreaming within a dream can often lead to false awakenings. I would get in the habit of performing a RC every time you wake from sleep. A false awakening can seem exactly like real life. I have woken up from a lucid dream, wrote it down in my notebook/dream journal and then returned to sleep. When I woke up for good the next morning, I found I hadn't written anything down. It was actually just a false awakening. I actually don't think I have obtained lucidity this way, but I have definitely fallen asleep within my lucids on purpose. It general provides some interesting results. |
