      First ld!! Thoughts?

      Technically, my first LD.

Was going up stairs, felt really tired, head was lolling to the side, suddenly I crashed down on the stairs to sleep and I had a dream within a dream (some Inception shit going on here). Because I knew I had fallen asleep on the stairs, I knew what followed was a dream, and bang, lucid dream.

Lucid Dream: was in bed, some furniture had changed, I rubbed my hands together for clarity, some success in that. When I tried to get out of bed I found I just moved my physical body, and was back in RL.

Thoughts? I must say, this was quite easy, came so natural. Anyone else had success by falling asleep in a dream?

Falling asleep within the dream is a pretty cool way to obtain your first lucid. Also, you very well could have had a false awakening. Anytime the dream abruptly ends like that, perform a reality check to make sure you aren't still dream. In my experience, sleeping/dreaming within a dream can often lead to false awakenings. I would get in the habit of performing a RC every time you wake from sleep. A false awakening can seem exactly like real life. I have woken up from a lucid dream, wrote it down in my notebook/dream journal and then returned to sleep. When I woke up for good the next morning, I found I hadn't written anything down. It was actually just a false awakening. I actually don't think I have obtained lucidity this way, but I have definitely fallen asleep within my lucids on purpose. It general provides some interesting results.
