Is it possible for Lucid Dreamers to share a lucid dream? |
|
yep |
|
From personal experience I can say yes. |
|
"We are what we think. Everything, what we are, is created by our thoughts. With our thoughts we form the world." -Buddha
"Not the human who has everything is happy, but the one who needs the least. The one who is happy with nothing, possesses everything." -Diogenes
"When in the body of a donkey, enjoy the taste of grass." -Tibetan Saying
That issue is debatable. I would say that most of the people here will say yes. I'd say no. There's a conflict between what you might personally end up experiencing and what everything we currently know about the world tells us. |

Yes shared lucid dreaming is very possible especially if you think dreaming is beyond your subconscious exclusively. namaste |

"when you fall unconscious, what your mind expresses is a dream.
When you are aware, what your mind expresses is creativity. It creates your life.
When you are in a higher state of consciousness, it not only creates the life of whatever you want, but also on whom ever you want". -LifeBlissFoundation
WHOA are you kidding? You've actually done it? What was it like? |
|
Using current scientific knowledge, I doubt it. |

Lucid Dream Status: =WILD= // Failed - (19 times) // Successful - (1 times)
no evidence for it really. what it comes down to is your own personal experience, and it can't hurt to try it out. |

Lucid Dreaming since 3/30/10
Waking Nomad claims to have done it with some people here on DV! I'm sure if you have any questions about it he would answer. |
|
Waking Nomad has done it with me but dont ask me how it went |

You mean Waking Nomad who wrote... this? http://www.dreamviews.com/f19/secret...-plane-102986/ |

"[...] As a result, the practitioner may decide that a parallel world has been entered: the world beyond, the astral plane, mental space, or the ether. Although travel in the phase can lead to many places, this does not mean that the phase allows travel through or use of actual, alternate worlds. The practitioner should be reasonable"
Michael Raduga (A Practical Guidebook, p.172)
As odd as it sounds, all the studies I've seen done on SDing (there aren't many, but they're out there) seemed to suggest that shared dreaming is a real phenomena. |

Moved to Beyond Dreaming. |
|
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

Haha, I was hoping someone wouldn't catch that. I always type "shared" instead of "beyond". x'D |

Only spongebob can dreamwalk, the rest of us are mere mortals. I don't believe anyone who claims to have done it, because there's no evidence proving it. If I were going to attempt it with someone, I'd tell the person a "password" in the dream. Then after we wake up, I'd ask him/her what the password was, then I'd know it actually happened and I didn't just dream about the person. |

You've clearly done no research into this, have you? |

I once introduced myself to a DC and told them that we were in a dream. I asked them to contact me on DV, MSN, Youtube, etc but they never did. I'm not sure if shared dreaming is possible but personally, I'll have a hard time believing it until I experience an SD for myself. Like Puffin, I'd want them to type out their dream and then post it at the same time as me. |
|
Oddly, I never achieved any definitive success using that method, even though I thought it'd be the best option in my earlier experimentation. To be honest, I didn't even fully buy into the whole thing until I had a few select people dictate dream experiences to me that shared such striking similarities in plot and content with dreams I had, until then, kept completely to myself. It's one thing when you're trying for it, but those out-of-the-blue experiences are something else entirely. |
|
Would it be weird if I asked you to try and share a dream with me? |
|
I'm going to say no. |
