Not worried about lucid dreaming during the day, but want to focus greatly on it at night...

Not sure if this is in the right section.

Once I get into lucid dreams, I don't really focus on it during the day. But when it comes nighttime, I remember the awesomeness of lucid dreaming, and then start focusing on it. Is this because I don't have a lot of motivation? Is there a technique where you don't really have to use the day (reality checks, awareness, etc.) to lucid dream?

Sometimes I'm busy during the day too, which makes me forget about it.

Yeah I think this is pretty common, thinking about LDing during the day usually doesn't hold my attention. You should look into WILD and MILD techniques, they don't require you to do reality checks during the day. Although keeping a dream journal to improve your recall will always be a benefit to you. But that's something that should only take several minutes right after you wake up.

Those techniques during the day, or normal everyday awareness - are to help you break out of a very bad human-mankind habit.
A habit of accepting the everyday norm.

so, when you are actually dreaming.
you are not dreaming accepting a dream event as "real" when dreaming as we tend to do, but to actually help you wake up within the dream and become lucid.

otherwise you become absorbed my the magic of the dream, and miss this chance to become self aware for that moment.
Sometimes dreaming will entail a bit of work, and effort on your part to succeed.
Besides, most of our lives, we have learned to ignore the dreams we have - or dismiss them as unimportant.

Practice the reality checks if you can during the day it should help you.

What I would suggest you do is WBTB. Since you can't get really aware during the day to build up your overall awareness to transfer over to your dream, for now the best I'd say you can do is WBTB.

Have you ever woken up in the middle of the night, looked at the clock and seen it to be like 4am or something? Then you just drifted off back to sleep? Well if you don't you can do that tonight easily. Before you go to bed, say outloud and clearly that you need to wake up at 4am, for a plane flight of something. Keep it on your mind for a bit, then just go to sleep. Odds are you will wake up then.
When you wake up, get up, do some things like walk around, get a glass of water, go to the bathroom, etc. This is all a WBTB. Maybe read your dream journal for a bit. Stay up for about 10-15 mins, then just hop back into bed. You should be aware enough that when you finally fall back asleep, the awareness you just had for the 10 mins will carry over to a dream.
