I was so close!!

In one of my dreams last night I noticed a digital clock while standing with my father... then I noticed that the numbers were sort of off because they were letters. So I told my father I thought I was dreaming... (didn't do any other checks didn't even double look at the clock >_<) Then my dad told me I was a dumbass and not to bother him with my nonsense :/ so I went on in the dream thinking nothing of the distorted clock.

Ohh yep..you noticed it...shame it didn't crack into a lucid but your very close..keep at what your doing to help and good luck..your lucid should arrive soon

Sorry I made a post that wasn't in the form of a real discussion. Can anyone give me any less obvious tips? Other than I should have done more reality checks?

less obvious tips? have you started a dj? Do you get enough sleep at night? have you tried different techniques? It takes time

Yep I agree with CCT it takes alot of time..you can never know when your first lucid will arrive, it may be in the next few days or months etc..but it does show that what you are doing is working as you are nearing the point.. ALWAYS do a dream journal..even if you dont remember a dream..write down that you dont remember, it does help...have you tried saying mantras as you go to sleep like "tonight i will lucid dream" you can also combine this with the counting technique...but sometimes when you try too hard it can cause a block and you wont get anywhere fast. Look through all the techniques we have on this forum..try them one at a time, maybe each one for a month or so, if you get no where with that then try another one

.....I am a natural lucid dreamer like others here and even I miss the signs sometimes, just like I did last night doh..., but do not think negativley always be positive, if you dont succeed tell yourself, "its ok i'll do it again tonight" don't punish yourself for not noticing, that can backtrack you, need any help feel free to PM me anytime
