Has I understood the thing about Lucid Dreaming? ~

      Hello.

Lucid Dreaming looks very interesting to me.

I'm not sure what it really is after reading this forum.

Are you basically laying in your bed, meditating, and then your body fall asleep, but you are still awake mentally, so you open your eyes while you're sleeping and you start seeing things? And has I understood that you can also go up and walk around, and expect things to be there, and they will, just in your mind?

I've been trying different things to become a lucid dreamer.

Such as laying down, extremely tired in my bed, breathing slowly and thinking a dimension away from my body, I came so far that I could feel my legs dissapear, however, that lasted only couple seconds since I got excited and thought about my legs. And I've also felt some itches or something on my hands & legs on the same time. However, breathing slowly makes me so tired that I fall asleep without attaining anything special.

I'm really curious and eager to lucid dream, or get into a sleep paralysis.

It's 23 pm at the moment, so I'm going to try breathing again tonight to see if I get any further today. Will write about my progress about it tomorrow, here.

Could someone link me clear instructions?

      Cheers.

No, it is actually quite different from what you said.
Lucid dreams can also occur while going to sleep normally, meditating and all of these other methods are used to be lucid more often, and even become lucid at any time when you get the hang of it.
What you described sounds like the WILD technique, here is an excellent tutorial about it.
      WILD (Sageous)

Also, you don't open your eyes while lucid dreaming, lucid dreaming is no different than regular dreaming.
The difference is, that in a lucid dream you are aware that you are dreaming, and it can look as real as waking life.
You see things with "your minds eye", which is basically just you, well, dreaming.

If you are willing to spend money in your journey to lucid dream, I recommend a book named "Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming", by Stephen Laberge.
There are also quite a few very detailed and useful tutorials here on DreamViews.

      Happy dreaming.

Lucid dreaming is when you during regular dream become aware, that you are dreaming. The feeling of realization is usually accompanied with the strongest feeling of joy, excitement, exhilaration. Since you know, you are dreaming, you can gain control (not always) of your dream and do anything. Fly to the outer space, drive a car, an airplane, swim in a tropical sea, talk to your dream characters (DCs), become a character from your favorite anime or movie, talk to your subconsious, just pretty much anything you want to do.

There are two main techniques to enter a LD.
      1. is WILD (kinda what you were discribing) - you lat your body fall asleep while you keep your mind awake untill dreams start to form (this is during falling asleep process) and then you enter a dream while fully lucid - aware.

Very popular variation of WILD is DEILD.

      2. DILD - when you fall asleep normally and during your regular dream you become aware that you are dreaming (thanks to your daytime practice).

Give it a try, you will not be disappointed. Here is a thread about what you can do in lucid dreams. Happy dreams

      No.

Read up on lucid dreaming at http://www.lucidity.com.

Don't bother with websites other than Dreamviews or the one I have given you. They're all BS.

      I recommend WILD.

      Have fun dude.

A lucid dream is just a dream that you know is a dream. That's all it is. If you practice you can control it, but you don't have to for it to be a lucid dream.
