Mixed messages- what to attempt first

I guess the title says it all WILD, DILD, DELID? I read and get told to do this and that, I have no real definitive answer

Don't jump the boat so fast. It seems all exciting, but there is some preparation involved. If you haven't already, start a dream journal.
Practice reality checks during the day, and keep up with the DJ.

To begin with, you will naturally have DILD's if you do reality checks enough, and make them a habit. I recommend moving on to the DEILD from there, as it is fairly easy to do.
Practice practice practice. It took me a few months to have my first lucid dream after joining, so don't get discouraged. The more you fail, the closer you are to success!

What method you should choose depends on your own sleep needs, personality, and lifestyle. Read a few tutorials and ask yourself seriously if you'll be able to do the stuff every day.

Having said that, I am partial to MILD. It's a great method for beginners. I wrote a tutorial for MILD; the link is in my sig.

      I recommend,
Start Dream Journal (Improve Recall) > Reality Check in the day + All Day Awareness > DILD > Mantra before bed > MILD > stay still when you wake up > DEILD.
