      Question Wild & dild

I seem to be having more luck with the WILD technique as I'm able to enter sleep paralysis.

With that being said, if I continue to work hard practicing WBTB-WILD, will I be able to DILD easier by default? Essentially, does mastering of one technique carry over into the other?

Well just by doing wbtb your raising your chances to have a DILD and some people after there first lucid, start getting lucids more frequently so it could be a probability. But if you really want to be master of both i recommend you practice a technique for dild and still attempt your wilds.
      2 great Dild techniques.

The whole awareness thing is a little challenging for me though

Awareness in general is always useful, especially at long-term lucid dreaming. This is because when you MILD or WILD you can still loose lucidity. With your DILD habits you might be able to more lucid or avoid loosing lucidity.

There are many ways to practice awareness not just DILD. Try MILD and keep doing reality checks and questioning about what were you doing some time ago.

Trying out MILD? This is how you become skilled at it.

To answer te question: DILD and WILD are both skills, meaning they get better with practice. So yes, if you focus on WBTB-DILD, it will certainly get better. If you keep practicing WILD, it will also get better. I personally like to combine both DILD and WILD. For example write in my DJ when I wake up (for DILD), and then try to WILD (the writing down of my dreams counts as a WBTB which is usefull for a WBTB-WILD).
