So, I feel like I should post the way of the normal RC, or at least how it works for me <.<
Note: The RC I use is unimportant.

Also, I'm writting this since I think it will work for people who don't think in dreams, or just accept the most crazy things. You know, I had a similar problem, just that the things for me were too normal, so it made no difference for me to be aware or not of my surrondings... so here, awareness is not the key, which is bad to some extent <.<

Anyway, moving on to reality checks, first, when doing a RC my thinking on them is linear "if it works, I'm dreaming, if it doesn't, I'm asleep" and thats all there is to it, I know that seems to be what everyone does, however, when RC'ing, I don't try to check if its reality, rather, check if I'm asleep, even while awake, will imagine how it would feel in a dream and try to mimic it as best as I can, so in short "When RC'ing, don't just do it, while doing it, try to imagine how it would feel in a dream, and think that it working/failing = dream".

Now, why it can help for the crazy things, its so linear that because while doing it, imagining the "how it would be in a dream" according to me, will end in the brain getting customed to "RC working = dream" without need of prior awareness (though the act of RCing to something should be some kind of RC in itself), which at the same time should make lucidity easier, if not already achieved. Or the even worse thing, some people don't even think in dreams, so if they do a RC, its a "dream plot, RC, more dream plot" kind of thing, which doesn't help in the least, so for them, the linear thing of "RC works = dream, RC fails = reality" should help to some extent too, especially if they are good boys and follow the advice in the RC tutorial and use more than just one RC.

Anyway, enjoy, and always read/try the RC tutorial instead of trying what you read in some random thread first, there is a reason why its a tutorial...
