Thread: I'm close, I think...

Last night I dreamed about a quiz, all DV members were there.
So we started joking about stuff, we had pretty much fun, but then somebody said : "Do a RC, we can be dreaming!". Everyone begun to laugh, and we continued the quiz.

There are similar things I dream every night, I begin to find small mistakes in my dreams, yet I all take it as granted. I began to read LaBerge's book and developed a kind of all day awareness, but I still fail ? The situations are screaming " THIS IS A DREAM, THAT ISN'T RIGHT", but I take everything as granted.

I feel I'm totally stuck, does anyone has a solution ?

Yeah man! Your dreams are screaming out for you to become lucid, but you're not questioning it enough!

Whenever you hear dreaming or it jumps into your head randomly, just do an RC, no excuses

Most of my lucids have occurred when I was talking to someone about dreams and just decided to do a reality check mid-convo

Strange, in my situation they often talk with me about dreams, example : stranger:"Why don't I know I'm dreaming every time I do ?!" I:"Some people do, it can be trained,....." OR somebody says he knew he was dreaming last night, then I tell it's normal.

The situations are screaming " LUCID DREAMS FOR FREE, GET IT HERE !!".
I'll try to become even more alert during the day.

but don't just reality check without thinking about why you are reality checking and focus on your surroundings while RCing.
just stop a second and listen to conversations and check the time, check if there is something that isn't right!
because if there is something weird you'll notice it!

Change up your RC... try gravity checks during the waking hours. Jump up and down occasionally (in private or people will think you are nuts) I find gravity checks in a dream never fail as I can leap tall buildings and instantly become lucid. Good luck to you!

Checking gravity is the only RC I use anymore. After much practice, I can flawlessly levitate easily at will in a LD. So, I try to float above the ground about 20 times a day. If I do float....
