I had a DILD this morning and when I realized it was a dream, my "vision" was still in 3rd person, which is how I usually dream. It suddenly shifted to 1st person when I did my RCs and stabilization. It kept shifting in and out of 3rd person/1st person.

So, I don't think it's a problem if you're dreaming in 3rd person and want to do a reality check to become lucid. You'll be aware that you're watching yourself, but have full control of your actions, as if you were playing a game.
