      I still can't attain lucidity

I've been trying to lucid for what seems like forever doing every popular method. But I simply can't. But it seems like the one I've gotten closest to was WILDing. While I WILD I listen to quiet, calming music and breathe deeply, I start seeing lights and once I heard a woman laughing devilishly. My entire body is numb. But I simply haven't been able to. I'm not very tired when I do this. What am I doing wrong?

Well for what you said your doing it perfectly right. If I could suggest something it would be to incorporate "MILD" while doing your WILD.

I started out trying to do WBTB and WILD, but I think I now agree with the consensus that WILD is very difficult to do. I guess if you are already a seasoned LD'er using DILD or DEILD, it might be a lot easier.
I've had all the symptoms of near paralysis and flashing images, even an earthquake like rumbling, but I always ended up just falling asleep!

I've just had my first proper DILD after months of trying. My success came with the nose-pinch RC, but backed up with good dream recall and a daily DJ. I ususally managed to remember at least one or 2 dreams per night.
I think you need a curious balance with an RC, where it's automatic enough that you do it without thinking in your dream, but no so automatic that you don't believe it.

My problem was that I never felt even close to doing an RC, but for some reason the nose-pinch one just clicked with me.

      Keep perservering!
