      help!

So last night i tried to get a lucid dream. So i followed macon´s advice and i tried to imagine that i was on a beach. I was looking for every detail of that beach. Smell, sound, image. Don´t know why i was starting getting dizzy, my eyes were like crazy and don´t know why i felt my body gettint hotter lol Then i breath get too slow and faster and faster. It was harder to breathe so i took a deep breath to stop because it felt i was sufocating. Resume: i quit the try of having a lucid dream and get some sleep.
      Anybody knows what happenned?

You were either going into SP and were having a bad one, or you forgot to breathe while imagining the beach.

Try again and tell us how it goes. Just remember to stay calm and relaxed and to let anything that's bothering you just slip away as you fade into the dream.

Sounds like a sleep paralysis to me. Try to ignore the feeling of suffocation, youll get past it. Read some more on SPs and youll get the hang of it

Those are all symptoms of falling asleep. It is not dangerous, just uncomfortable. It happens every time you fall asleep. The only difference is, you were paying attention, so you noticed everything.

You were very close to succeeding. Just relax through any uncomfortable sensations. Think of them as another part of the dream.

Getting hotter? On the beach? Sounds like you were almost there! Imagine a cooler climate. Good luck to you!

I had the same thing with breathing. My problem is that it freaks me out and my heart starts beating faster and i don't know what to do. I have no choice but to take in deeper breaths and then SP goes away.

It happens. Persistence without annoyance is key.

If you find an easy way to chill out post it, I go through this every time I've tried to WILD too. My chest feels heavy like I can't breathe and my anxiety kicks in and if I don't roll over I have a panic attack.

A more experienced lucid dreamer needs to comment to help with the whole breathing thing. I'm experienced in DILD and DEILD, but I've only ever experienced a WILD once and it was on accident.

A little 'controlled breathing' meditation might help you . You can google it. Good luck!
