1. Many people new to LDing see SP as a goal, without which they can't get into LD or OBE, and if they don't feel it, they think they have failed. And this would be fine, if you have no problem getting into SP and acctually be aware of it. But if you are like me (and many others) that do get into SP without being aware of it, I would suggest stop trying to get into SP. Instead, make your goal getting into LD.
2. It's hard to get into SP at the beginning of sleep. It's recommended to try after at least 4.5 hours of sleep in general.
3. You can adjust your breathing to be in rhytm with your mantra. For example, you say 'I am' on inhale and 'dreaming' on exhale. I downloaded this track (Chakra stimulation, trance and astral projection using harmonic box entrainment) from g n o m a d. Read the instructions on the website. First part is about chakras, and second for LD and OBE. In this second part, I was watching in amazement, as my breathing switched to a pattern of a sleeping person, while I was totaly aware of it. Maybe it will help you with your breathing. Hope this helps
