Sleep paralysis, as far as I know, is a good technique when trying to jump straight into a dream. So basically, if you experience sleep paralyises while still concious, I think you should wait and try not to panic. It can be uncomfortable, but it really depends on you. Go to sleep with the intention that it will be a positive experience and it should be all good. As for how vivid the dreams are, also depends on you. I feel the better dream recall you have, the more vivid the dreams become. Before I started keeping a dream journal and actually ataining lucidity, my dream eyes would lose the ability to focus, so while I could see in the dream, some parts were blurry and others weren't. Frustratingly, I could never see what I wanted to see. All that went away after being able to lucid dream and getting better at dream recall. Once you are lucid, the next thing you learn is dream control. You can become lucid but still not have any control of the dream. You just kinda go with the flow. So having your way with whoever you want might not work the first time lol. Just experiment. You'll find out soon enough.
