WILD is a much harder process than many may want to believe. It takes years of practice to get good at it, and speaking for myself, I only suceed maybe 1 out of 3 or 4 times. That is after more than 2 decades practice. I am pretty good at it, and can pretty much always get to a fully aware state, while my body is sleeping. However, the conditions need to be just right for a good LD to come out of it. As an example I tried a WILD 2 nights ago. I did everything just right, fell quickly into SP, and started seeing colors, I even saw at one point a brilliant explosion of fire, and heard a bell ring that sounded 100% real and very loud. I worked on trying to visualize a dream body and got to where I could feel as if I was walking or running, but no LD started. I kept at it,,, still no LD, I felt like I had been in my trance for a very long time. I managed to barely open one eye and look at the clock. I had been in a full WILD trance and in SP for 1 hour! I just gave up and woke myself to start my day.
Keep at it, but look into MILD techniques. MILD is the easiest and most straight forward place to begin. So don't feel bad. WILD is really a very advanced meditative practice.
