      my first lucid dream!!

So i've been on this site for some time now, i've been keeping a dream journal and using affirmations as i fall asleep pretty regularly. but this morning i had my first real lucid experience.

i've had a few times where i'd become lucid and be to excited and wake up, but this time it was just finding something weird in the dream that made me reality check and become lucid. the weirdest part is that i'd woken up to drive my sister to a piano lesson and was napping in the car when it happened. the dream was pretty stable, i found i could control my environment pretty well and while i kept reality checking to make sure,(the breathing through my pinched nose check works well for me) it felt so real that i was worried about taking a leap of faith and flying, so i ran up a wall with complete ease and backflipped. after that i was really confident so i just went ahead and started flying (ive had dreams where it feels like im swimming in the air before) i knew how if would feel and the best part is i chose to do it.

while i was flying a DC pulled a handgun on me and started shooting, so i landed and fought him. i absolutely destroyed him because i decided i could blink teleport

i was loosing faith in becoming lucid but now i'm so excited, i cant wait to become lucid again
is it normal for Dream characters to attack you though?

That's so awesome, I envy you. My first LD which was also this morning lasted a full 2 seconds.

I don't know, but if it becomes a habit for you go with the flow! Next time find a flamethrower in a box or something!

Yeah, it is not too uncommon for dream characters to attack you upon lucidity. Personally, it has never happened to me.
