      New way of attaining lucidity

I am going to take a different approach to attain lucidity. I will easily have nightmares if I watch a scary movie. This has probably been done before but I am going to try and wake my self in the nightmare and stop the nightmare. Tell me what you guys think

How will you know to wake yourself? What difference would it make being a nightmare to a normal dream?

It's just like DILD, you'd still have to practice RCing and ADA, etc.

I would rather wake myself in a normal dream, then a nightmare!

But if it works for you, then let us know! It's always good to experiment.

      Ooh, their breath is warm
      And they smell like sleep
And they say they take me home
      Like poppies heavy with seed
They take me deeper and deeper

You always have more awareness in nightmares . You have more control over your feelings(fear/anxiety)When you are about to be caught or something gets to horrible. You can peform some of the reality check. You would put your faith into the reality checks instead of just peforming them without feeling. Anyway I will try it out . I always have more nightmares them normal dreams. When it gets to the point where I can just become lucid then I won't need to experience the nightmares

You have to put faith in RCs whenever you do them.

I do not have more awareness or control over my nightmares, but if you do, then thats great.
It still sounds like DILD to me!

Let me know how it goes

      I don't normally have nightmares.

But when I do, they're not nightmares.

My dream was as clear as day and I was aware of everything that was going on. It really was a hit or miss. If you don't do the reality checks in time then you can't control your dream. Do not think I am going to do that again. But after the nightmare my dreams are so much clearer. I remember the dream as if it was a memory. My dreams have been very lifelike after that. That was a great experiment
