Attaining Lucidity a bit too easy?

I would venture to guess this doesn't belong in Attaining Lucidity but whatever that's not the point. Now yes, I indeed absolutely LOVE lucid dreaming, it's awesome and I'm enjoying it! But recently I got one lucid dream and then I started getting loaded with them! Now I've asked a question similar to this one before but this one's a bit different, and I have a theory this time. I believe it might be due to my little overactive mind problem. (It's not really diagnosed, but me and my family are pretty sure I have it) I often stand on my tip toes unconsciously until someone tells me that I am and I shiver randomly when it's not even cold. In other words, I'm over-stimulated. I think this might have something to do with my ability to lucid dream so easily. I'm obviously not a natural because if I was, I would've been having lucid dreams ever since I was little! But I just started about a week ago and now I'm having one pretty much every night... okay every morning. This might also explain it. I usually stay up til' either 3:00 A.M. or 11:00 P.M. then go to bed. For the latter I wake up at about 6:00 A.M. and for the other I don't really know. But with either schedule, I've been having frequent lucids. Most without even reality checking! I just start lucid dreaming instantly. However I also wonder if I'm just dreaming about lucid dreaming. I never really have access to my full waking mind so it feels as if I'm "half-lucid" in almost every dream. Now I've only had 4 but in every one I've gotten that "half-lucid" feeling. So I've got some questions...

      1. Could this be associated with my over-stimulation?
      2. Is it common to have this ability?
      3. Why do I always have half-lucids?

I'd really appreciate some answers because it's completely boggling my mind.

      1. I don't see a connection between your over-stimulation and daily LDs but maybe someone with more knowledge in this topic can give a better answer.
      2. If you refer to the ability of being able to LD daily then I think no. A lot of people can only achieve it as a very long term goal. Consider yourself lucky!
      3. I've had 3 LDs so far. My last 2 ones, especially the older one was like what you describe as half-lucid. In the first one I had (although the dream lasted only a moment) there was a full feeling of totally KNOWING who am I and that I was INSIDE a dream. These new ones lacked that feeling. I knew that I was dreaming but maybe I wasn't fully aware of what that meant and wasn't aware of my WAKING MIND in the dream. I think you get more FULLY lucid dreams as you progress because your mind gets used to the feeling of the dream world. Or maybe it is only bad luck... . Anyway, they are still awesome!

Most people who just start out find they have them a lot just because they've read or thought about them. I don't think it's an over active mind or whatever, it's quite common! These half-lucids you describe are because you haven't had enough experience, I had a few of these. As you progress you'll learn the tricks to become more aware. There's some great tutorials on this site which do exactly that! God luck.

      Ooh, their breath is warm
      And they smell like sleep
And they say they take me home
      Like poppies heavy with seed
They take me deeper and deeper

As isthissit said It's quite common for newbie lucid dreamers having alot of lucid dreams when they first start then they usually slow down like to one a week or once a month (If you're not trying)

I can tell you that a true lucid dream is an almost spiritual experience and you will not question the phenomena when you have one. You will just know it. It is quite amazing and life-affirming... and feels quite real. To me the feeling of awakening from a lucid dream is gleeful and sad at the same time. Sad simply because I rarely want to leave the dreamscape. My memories of the LD are not unlike memories of something I did in the waking world today. It's that real. So, I would say you are on the correct path but have a way to go. Good luck to you!
