Sense of touch and taste in dream?

For the past few weeks I have been very busy and have been unable to practice lucid dreaming. But lately, I have been having many dreams in which I am able to taste things and touch things...and it feels very real. I can't remember specific examples, but it has encouraged me to start writing in my dream journal again just now. Am I close to being lucid? Or would this be considered as having partial lucidity?

Note: I have not even practiced any techniques whatsoever in the past few weeks.

I believe this is a sign that your dreams are increasing in vividness. In especially vivid dreams, you may notice that you are more aware of your actions and surroundings, which translates into you noticing your dream senses more. Writing in your dream journal can only improve on this situation; as your recall improves and you have increasingly vivid dreams, you may just find yourself noticing something odd in your environment, triggering lucidity. So yes, I'd say you're on the right track

Well that's definitely exciting news. Thank you. I'd rather do this slowly than try to go through SP again!

You are lucid when you know you are dreaming. You are partially lucid when you suspect you are dreaming. I have felt the texture of walls and tasted strange food in lucid dreams and it is an amazing experience.

As a dream becomes more and more vivid, you gain more senses and detail. For example, in a blurry dream you might see vague images of places and things. If it was more vivid, you would hear wind and see crystal clear water, and than realize your on a beach. If it was even more vivid you would feel the sand on the ground as you walk and taste the sand if you really wanted to xD Vividness in a dream can definitely help get closer to lucid dreams as well. Good luck!
