I'm in partial paralysis, what now?

Last night I decided to try this out, I lied down, listened to soft music to relax and keep track of how long its been. After the 5th song I was in partial sleep parlysis (I could break it easily and it made it easier to keep still) It was scary/awesome I layed there for a good 45 minutes, nothing else happened. What am I doing wrong? How do I have a LD or OBE once im in SP?

I am not sure that you really were in sleep paralysis. Generally the symptoms are very clear and unmistakeable (things like strong vibrations and auditory/visual hallucinations) the "heavy" feeling you get, unless very pronounced is more likely an illusion of your immobility and not true sleep paralysis.

I might venture to assume that you are too awake. In order to WILD you have to actually fall asleep. I'd work on using a relaxation technique, maybe cut out the music, and don't look quite so hard with your mind for the "stages".

Last bit of advice, and just in case, you should be coupling this technique with a WBTB, it increases the chances of success exponentially.

I agree with RebelSeven. Would you care to elaborate why you think you were in partial sleep paralysis? Any specific feelings such as vibrations, buzzing, etc.?

In order to WILD you have to actually fall asleep.
I think what RebelSeven means is that in WILD, your body has to actually fall asleep, with your mind awake. If your mind falls asleep as well, then that would not be considered a WILD.

I also agree that trying this out with WBTB would be better. Anyway, here is a link which might help you out with some of your questions: http://www.dreamviews.com/f79/compre...5/#post1807704

See ya around, good luck and happy dreaming

Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.

I've heard the phrase Partial SP before but I felt a wave of tingling and felt like it was taking me, it was harder to move but I still could so I though it was simply starting. I don't know about vibration but it was an undeniable feeling, something I could'nt pretend was happening. But yea, it affected how I moved but didn't completely paralyed me.

It sounds like you were just relaxed. Keep trying to push yourself deeper into relaxation. If you are looking to lucid dream, you need to be right on the cusp of sleep.
