I have noticed that in almost all my dreams, I dream about my dad, how would I be able to link that to lucidity? |

you cant really use particular things for lucidity because the bottom line is that your not realising your in a dream. I dream i play in football matches with Barcelona, Arsenal, machester city, but i still dont realise im just dreaming to become lucid. What i do which usually always works (85% success) is while your awake during the day and before you sleep just "feel" that your in a dream and say to your self "im dreaming". its important not to think but feel, because its that feeling that will get you lucid not the thought. |

Use it as a dream sign. Repeat before you sleep: |

I agree that you should use mantras to realize your dreaming when you see your father. Also, on the rare occasion that do you see your father, truly question your reality and do lots of reality checks every time you look at him. Good luck! |

Another good tool for your dream signs could be Incubation. Check out this thread: |

This is irrelevant, but I have had recurring dreams too about a close friend I meet extremely rarely for the past seven months(yay courtesy of dream journal). The dream sign incubation sounds awesome. I have also been thinking about talking to them, that is if I achieve lucidity anytime soon, about why they keep reappearing. From what I've read, recurring dream characters are supposed to channel your attention into an internal conflict you're not acknowledging. But why bother with pseudoscience if you can actually ask them 'in person'. |

I suggest that when you see him you do a reality check. (: your dad is your dream sign. |
