Thumbs up Nearly Lucid: some tips to assist you (Wbtb)

So this past night/day, I nearly lucid dreamed. I'm going to write this thread merely to recreate what I did.

      Step 1:having a solid mantra
This may be one of the most overlooked ingredients when it comes to a lucid recipe! I never had a clear mind before trying to tell my brain what I'd want it to do when I'm dreaming. The matter of the fact is that a clear mind is necessary for a mantra to have even the slightest effect on your ability to lucid dream. For me, when anything crossed my mind I basically shunned it out and told myself to not think about it. Easier said than done. But really, patience can help out and once you repeat something meaningfully to yourself then it will matter and even make way to your subconscious. I especially made sure that I had a solid mantra when I awoke around 8 this morning.

Step 2:You want to fall asleep easily
I say this because so many people focus solely on the required techniques. I used to be like that and found myself failing very frequently. Being able to fall asleep should be one of your main focuses so realize that and allow it to happen. Without sleep what is a dream? What I did was to make sure I can fall asleep quickly by being tired. I don't know about you all, but leveling my lvl 110 mechanic in maplestory at 2 am is pretty tiring. I stayed up this late because I already had the prior information that my inconsiderate mom and sister would wake me up 6 hours later: around 8.

      Step 3:Awareness
I found that reality checks all the time don't really help me but everyone is different. I just like to do them when something awkward occurs and every time I step through a door because in my dreams, I'm usually all over the place. But also keep in mind that your surroundings are what most likely will trigger a lucid dream. I recently realized that it was daytime yet the sun wasn't out. Don't give up on your attempts to lucid dream when you have one of those moments where you can't believe you didn't realize you were dreaming. Again, patience is important just keep a dream journal and be as precise as you can so that in the near future, you can look back and pinpoint dream signs or details that reoccur. Persist and you'll realize that you're actually dreaming notably soon.

      Step 4on't give up
I've known about lucid dreaming for sometime now, probably not as long as some of you experts around here but that doesn't matter. I just know that it's possible and how beneficial and fulfilling it could be so I need to just carry on. The results will definitely show with time.

I hope you benefit from my slight tutorial

Perhaps I'm missing a good mantra. I've never really thought about it but doing reality checks 24/7 don't really help me either. I'll have to try finding a mantra or a better anchor. Thanks!

I've tried RC but never seems to work that's why I'm trying to implement ADA, as for the mantra idea I've used it for a matter of weeks now and have had great results, Definately recommend the mantra ideas!

Nice tutorial i'm sure this will help a lot of people who are having problems, or even those who aren't!

Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.
