General awareness, both external and internal, are key to lucid dreaming so if you find that awareness is becoming more present in your dreams then you are definitely closer to lucidity. If you want to take another step try becoming more aware in waking life both as a whole throughout the day and also by using ADA or SAT. ADA (all day awareness) and SAT (sporadic awareness technique) is just taking 10-20 minutes out of your day and becoming hyper-aware, becoming as in-tune with your senses as you can so that you are aware of everything around you. These help immensely in attaining lucidity. |
