      wicked vivid dreams.

Yes I'm new, yes I am doing my homework and reading up on all the fantastic info so I will try not to sound like a repetitive goon.

Not sure if I'm breaking the forum commandments, but I stopped smoking weed 4 days ago (after daily use over 2 years) and my dreams are becoming so life-like I am having a really hard time differentiating between the realities. Before I quit, cold turkey, I would still have vivid dreams and would still be able to remember them, but nothing like this.

I know I should probably give it more time for my body to detox from the build up, but is this something anyone else has experienced?

Hi, yes it's true. Weed does steal your dreams to a degree, or at least stifles recall. Stopping ramps up the vividness for a while then it settles back down. I know quite a few people who've reported this after quitting or laying off, including myself. With that increased vividness in mind (it won't last) now would be a great time to start experimenting getting lucid in them.

Ehm I have tried it once, and since it was the first time I tried it might be the reasons to the unwanted effects.
But that night I didn't remember a single dream and had no awareness what so ever.

Yeah, it's pretty well documented here. We call it the rebound effect. Most types of Cannabis will suppress REM, and when you stop you get extra, more intense REM.
Not sure if it's been scientifically studied, but I'd say 95%+ people report this.
