      Question DILD Help?

      Hey this is my first post here on Dreamviews

      Alright so I use the water technique to wake up in the middle of the night, then once i wake up, I obviously have to go to the toilet. Do I get up or just try sleep? And any tips would be greatly appreciated.

      Hi, welcome to DreamViews!

      I think when you wake up, you should go to the toilet to relieve yourself, then go back to sleep. You can use that as a WBTB method

      Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.

      Yeah, you drink water to try to time your WBTB's, you'll wake up after each REM period has ended, I guess most people use it to try to WILD.

      Never seen this method used for DILD before, don't see a reason why it wouldn't work though! As other people have said, get up and go to the toilet. Then maybe stay up a few extra minutes maybe doing mantras or focusing on becoming lucid. After you're done go back to bed and fall asleep as normal.

      Drinking water can also help trigger lucidity in DILD. Searching for a bathroom is a dreamsign that often triggers lucidity for me...usually really nasty bathrooms you refuse to use.. For that, dont drink as much water. If I wake up though and hafta go, I go. Cant sleep well if I gotta pee!
