this new thing that has been happening to me , please help if u can and tel me whats happening

recently most of the time when i am dreaming i am able to realize that its possibly a dream and then i dont get very excited any more about being lucid , all that happens is that i try to change little things from then on , for example if i feel attracted to a cute stranger i try to keep that person in the dream , or if something is frightening i try to make it go away but that not really lucidity to its full potential like i used to do before , its almost like i am in a state that i am between being completely lucid and not lucid at all , like a semi lucid state and then short after that i tend to wake up and some times if the dream is interesting enough i am able to fall back asleep and continue it , so gthe question is how do i improve this semi lucid state to a full lucid state.
please forgive me if there is grammer and other mistakes because i am not a native speaker, thanksssssssssss in advance.

This happens to alot of people and I if im right what you are talking about is a dream in which you know it is a dream but do not actually realize the implications that come with it and just directing the dream in the general movement you want it to. What you have to do is tell yourself that you will recognize this state, everynight before sleep tell yourself that you will recognize when this happens. Or just keep trying to lucid dream, eventually you will learn to recognize them.

I think the first step would be to perform some reality checks and stabilize the dream, you'll have a clearer head on what you want to do.
      Science for the win.

Every time you do a reality check in real life, you have to think about what you would do if you were dreaming. For example, maybe you want to fly, everytime you do a reality check think, I want to fly. It will become natural eventually, and you will remember it in your dreams.

last night something interesting happened my dream started as non lucid then at some point i realized that it was a dream and i decided to take control and it became lucid for a while it was lucid but then i lost control again and it became non lucid so the beginning and the end of the dream was out of my control but the middle of it was directed by me, does this happen to a lot of people? the real question is once the dream becomes lucid what do we do to keep it lucid , and what to do not to lose control .

You have to stabilise the dream. That happened to me in one of my first ones. Don't worry about it.

Stabilizing the dream definitely improves your control and lucidity. When you first become lucid, take a moment to try a stabilization technique such as rubbing your hands together or focusing on a particular object until it reaches life-like clarity. When you do this, your level of lucidity should be much higher and you'll have much better control of the dream.

stabilizing the dream is not as easy as it may seem , i haven't been able to do it yet, maybe i am too tense when lucidity kicks in .it feels like there is a stronger power resisting and keeping me from being completely lucid.

It takes practice, of course. I know I didn't even have time to think about stabilizing the dream in my first few lucids. But eventually you will remember to do so and your lucids will get longer and longer, provided you stick with it.
