Another newb who's really close, I think...

So I've just been poking around these forums for a bit and I'm pretty sure I'm close to a LD. I actually had a dream where I was surfing online for ways to attain lucidity. I even had a FA which was excited me. I remember trying a light switch but I never had that "Ah-ha" moment (I hadn't made testing lights a big rc at this point.)

It seems getting a good rc seems to be my hang up. I've been writing on my wrist the words "Be Aware" and hope that it carries over into my dreams and a mantra I go to bed with is "...look at your wrist", but it hasn't taken hold.

My recall is superb. 4-5 dreams per night. And as long as I wake for a split second and jot down a keyword, I can go 2 or 3 dreams in a row and recall with insane detail. So much so that it's annoying my wife to no end!!! lol

I guess I'm just looking for any rc tips. As far as dream signs, the closest I have is an occasional car ride. I've noticed I don't wear my seatbelt in dreams so every time i get into a car now, I ask if i'm dreaming than check for my seatbelt, then reinforce by staring at my wrist...

Anything I'm forgetting or could be doing different?

Thanks and nice to meet yall!!!

      Welcome to Dreamviews Kevin!

Looks like you're of to great start. Recall is important, you don't want to end up forgetting lucids after waking up.
As for tips on RCs, do them often but don't let them become a mindless routine is all I can say about them.

I'm still a beginner and use the noseplug. It didn't come into my dreams untill after 8 or 9 weeks since I started. So give them time to sink in.

I advise you to meditate and/or look up on mindfulness.

      Welcome to Dreamviews!
You were so close that I kinda fell sorry for you. But when you finally get lucid you will have a hell of a time because you are prepared, which is a big forgotten factor most beginners just don't think is important. A pro tip which I tell everyone who is new to lucid dreaming is just shout out to the dream a short phase and it will happen, for one lucid dream I just sat there shouting "increase lucidity!" And well the dream became more real than real life. So good luck and have fun as your lucid adventure unfolds

Sounds like you are doing good. The lightswitch RC is not a really reliable one. Make sure you DJ. Even if recall is good, it gets dream awareness up. Good luck.
