Red face Which method to use to get straight back into Lucid Dreaming ?

Hey what is up community! It's been a good while since I haven't been focusing on lucid dreaming... (since 20th September 2012, an approximation) .
The problem is I always keep saying to myself that focusing on lucid dreaming consumes time, and with school, I can't really waste time, got tons of things to do.
In another way, it is not a waste of time, oh nevermind lmao .

So yeah, lately, I've been playing Prototype the game (Alex Mercer for those who know) and realized that all those jumps, fights and weapons could be available to me if I could lucid dream.
So I decided to come and to start lucid dreaming.
I haven't had a lucid dream yet but hopefully will have one real soon!
The thing is, I know that if I ever get one single lucid dream, I will be so excited and happy about it that I will get plenty others..
All I need is a taste of success . So yeah, which technique should I use to get back deeeeeeeeeeeeeep onto lucid dreaming !?
Hey, thanks for your time and thanks for being you! Smile and be grateful for what you have! (Too emotional here )

What got me my first one, was excitement of anticipation. I have read some threads and got like "Omg, I could do this", did a few RCs and bam.

You say if you just had your first one, the excitement of it would help you get more of them. Well, you could try to get excitement from thinking about the weapons you want in LD, daydreaming scenarios of your lucid, reading some cool dreams in DJ.

Then, recall that excitement when you ask the awareness question, believe that you are dreaming when you RC and get yourself some cool mantras related to your goals.

I guess I'm not really experienced enough myself as far as recommendations go, as it is, I can still count the number of Lucid Dreams I've had on my fingertips.

Still, the moments where I've managed to take control have merely been through simple visualization. When I wanted to fly for instance all I had to do was think ahead, Imagine leaping in the air and the momentum keeping me moving upward, looking down and seeing the ground from a birds eye view. Then if I wanted to fly over the ocean or towards a city, just imagining the horizon moving towards me as the dream often operates on a feedback loop from your mind, inputting as you go.
Of course, I had prior experiences flying as a child in my dreams so I suppose the subconscious helped too.

Another experience, which was video game related came from playing Battlefield BC2 often for a few hours after work. All the hours, adrenaline filled memories seemed to have programmed me with enough experience to visualize my actions, and gave me plenty of recall to draw from. Suddenly I found myself leading a company of men, and replaying previous matches in more realistic environments than I'd experienced in real life, getting the same rush I would during the day from simply recalling a few moments of gameplay after getting out of bed in the middle of the night to head to the bathroom.

So as gab said, it would certainly help to envision what you hope to experience often, perhaps a few minutes before bed as well, as well as using a dream diary to help you recognize the signs of a dream. Make sure you log enough hours of Prototype, memorize the sensation of leaping from rooftop to rooftop etc, then draw upon it once the opportunity arises.

My LD's are few and far between but more from a lack of effort, the success I've seen has been from binaural beats and/or WBTB.
But of course this site has plenty to offer you in the attaining lucidity sections.

      Good Luck

Today a young man on acid realized that all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, that we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves. Here’s Tom with the weather.

Everytime I RC, I get a series of chills. As I realized, the chills aren't there by randomness, no. Chills happens when I RC and I try to prove that my reality is a dream. Is it a good or a bad sign..
Last night, I woke up and kept my eyes closed. Then I realized I could DEILD. But as I tried, my mind would completely forget that I am trying to DEILD and then fade into some other thoughts, which was a complete failure haha

Everytime I play Prototype, I tell myself how awesome it would be If I could do all those jumps and fights around the city. For the first seconds I play that I play Prototype, I kind of feel what the character feels when he jumps and flies. Thanks for your answer mate!

The chills are a good thing. You have to believe, that you are in a dream when doing RCs and asking yourself if you dreaming. When I do that, I fully expect someting to happen, because I'm in a dream, right. Sometimes I creep myself out doing that.

If DEILD deosn't work out, go for a WILD (sageous) Good luck

Well that's great news! I have a question :$ How many times should I RC in a day to make the RC's effective ?
I will still try DEILD, and I'll move on to WILD.
Thanks gab have a great day!

As many times as you can make them with emotions. If they are done just automatically, without the "omg, I'm dreaming", they don't have any effect.

State of mind is very important. Keep confident, set your intent to have a LD (not a wish), keep excited and magic will happen. Happy dreams
