      New Lucid Dreaming Method!

      Hey all
Im new to this forum and recently i made up my own lucid dreaming technique thats been working wonders for me, but i want to share it with you all and see how well it works for you. I don't have a name for it yet, but maybe someone can make a name up for me!

So...The key to this method is to truly believe that what you are saying is absolutely true and theres no doubt in your mind that it will work.

The first thing to is in the beginning of your day, right when you wake up or soon after, you think of your self as a master lucid dreamer, as someone who can lucid dream at will and have complete control over the dream. As you are going through your morning routine, get excited and genuinely believe that you will have an amazing lucid dream when you go to bed tonight. Think long and hard about what you are going to do once you become lucid when you go to bed tonight, since you can lucid dream at will right?

Go through the day becoming more and more genuinely excited about the amazing adventures you will have in your lucid dream tonight. Keep thinking and planning your amazing lucid dream you will experience in your sleep when you go to bed. What sights will you see? What will you hear? What will you feel and taste? One great thing you can do is to draw your future lucid dream out on comic or paper, or buy some drawing app on your smartphone. Even talk to family members, friends, your self, or your subconsious about what your amazing lucid dream is going to be like. The trick is to NOT think of this technique as a method to become lucid, since you are a master lucid dreamer and have no need for lucid dreaming methods . You are simply planning your next lucid dream in great detail since it's bound to occur!

Continue your day like this until you get to bed. As you settle into bed, pick up your dream journal and read only your lucid dreams intently, and then write down your future lucid dream in your dream journal for the next morning. Remember to remain excited and enthusiastic about it! Keep going over your future lucid dream as you drift off to sleep, thinking about the wonderful and exciting adventures you will have. Sweet Dreams!

I can't stress enough how important it is to really believe that it will occur, because trust me, if you think it will happen, it will happen! If you really believe you will have your greatest lucid dream ever, your mind will regard it as true. Also, it is important to not perform this technique like it's a chore and you don't want to do it. Only do it in your downtime and when you have time to think, and in the morning/night!

Try this technique and leave a comment on how effective this technique was for you! Thanks

Seeing as he is new to the forum he has probably not seen the thread, but I think this only reinforces the effectiveness of SilverBullet's technique.

Also it's not like SilverBullet was the first one to come up with this idea, but rather he just made a really nice thread about it!

It's a nice idea but sadly it will only work for a few people with a particular psychological stance.

For most people conscious resistance will get in the way and ruin the endeavour. For example if someone was to say throughout the morning as you suggest, 'I can have a lucid dream whenever I want as its so easy and tonight I am going to have a brilliant lucid dream' that is all well and good.

Unfortunately for most people their next thought will be along the lines of, 'No I won't I find it really hard to have a lucid dream, hell I cant even remember my dreams most nights.'

The result of this is that the subconscious will accept the verbal command that the conscious mind believes the most, which sadly in the above case will be the second one for most people.

Well, It will work for you if you believe it will. I am using this method at the moment and I will not lie, it's HARD. But I'm doing it. I will do it. I can do it. And my conscious and subconscious mind knows I can. So it IS possible for you if you just believe.

This post is a great example of why it won't work for some.

Like the OP said you need to:

truly believe that what you are saying is absolutely true and theres no doubt in your mind that it will work.

If you can't achieve that this technique won't work for you.

It's fine for more than one person to come up with the same idea as long as it isn't directly copied. Most of this forum is made up of different people discovering the same thing or variants of the same experience.

And succeed you may. If you do, you will be in the minority, as I have already pointed out

This is not new. Lucid dreamers have always known that positivism is a vital component. However, I am glad you have discovered this.
