      Angry Anger Induced Lucid Dream (ANILD)

      Hello fellow dreamers..

      I thought about this.. tried it.. and it WORKED.
      I had 3 long vivid lucid dreams, with FULL control last night, and this is how I did it..

      But first, a story.. (yay, story time)
      Okay, so I am having these insane mood swings lately.. it seems I am bi-polar.. One moment I'm fine, and the other mad as hell, wanting to rip my face off.

      So last night, I got REALLY angry over nothing, and I noticed that when I am angry, I THINK a lot faster, I am more AWARE, and I am in FULL control of my mind and body.
      I am a stutterer, I stuttered since I was little, not so much, but still it happens, and it bothers me. When I am angry, I talk SO fluently, even more fluently than my friends.

      So here it goes.
      ANGER is your ENERGY.
      ANGER is your friend, if you know how to USE it correctly.
      ANGER is a double edged sword, BUT if you just know how and when to use it, you can wield that sword to your advantage.
      So come with me, come to the insane side, and master the art of ANGER.

      Notice when you are angry, you get better observation skills, you are more aware of yourself, more aware of your surroundings, you notice more details, your heart beats faster, your pupils dilate and your mind catches on fire, FIRE you can CONTROL.

      Now, when we are angry, we get a boost of adrenaline, it makes us wanna hit stuff, run fast, scream out loud, break something, CHANNEL all of the energy and get rid of it.
      So what's the trick ?

      It's really simple, before sleep, sit on your bed and think of everything that makes you angry. GET MAD, GET INSANE !! Get so angry that your muscles start twitching, that you start hissing on yourself, that you HATE everything AROUND YOU. Just FEEL that energy flow through you, and feel your heart beating like insane in your chest. Clench your hands into fists and feel the anger build up in you wanting to flow out, wanting to destroy something, someone.

      Think of all the people that make you angry, think of this short sad life, think of stupid and ignorant people, think how you are sitting there doing nothing about it, think think think, and get reallllyyy angry.
      You will notice how you are 200% more aware then you were and how you start noticing all the sounds and shadows.. and even the smallest detail.
      BUT
      Don't channel the energy just yet.. instead.. just fall asleep.. as much as you want to let it all out, don't, let it build up and flow through you, until you are fallen asleep.

      You are bound to have a long vivid lucid dream.

      Really interesting.
      I have to try this out - maybe even today.
      So you used it as a DILD method, you just remembered a Lucid Dream the next morning?
      Because if yes it could be the perfect technique for me

      Yes. And also, I stopped keeping a dream journal, but the next morning i had perfect recall of all the dreams I had. (don't stop keeping it, I stopped because I didn't have time)
      I didn't even do a reality check to realize it's a dream, it was just kinda obvious.

      Hey, Vortaix, interesting experience. Does it mean you also have angry lucid dreams, or maybe the opposite, never angry?

      Do you have other tipps on getting me angry...
      Right now I'm kinda balanced.
      I think I'm going to imagine something that would make me angry and try to feel the anger slowly coming up...

      Check your memory, did any suprising event happpen ? does the present make sense ? visualize what you will do when lucid, and how. Reality check as reminder of your intention to lucid dream tonight. Sleep as good as you can; when going to sleep, relax and invite whatever comes with curiosity. Grab your dream journal immediately as you awake and write everything you can recall (if only when you wake up for good). Keep calm, positive and persistent, and don't forget to have fun along the way

      @Mycooky Don't try it through the day, you don't want that..

      1) Get angry because you can't get angry.
      2) Get angry because you couldn't lucid dream last night.
      3) Get angry at someone you hate. Imagine his/her ugly face and yourself shouting
      4) Stub your toe, it will make you insane (haha, just kidding, don't.)
      5) Get angry because you don't have enough time for stuff.
      6) Get angry because of school..
      7) Get angry because all people are idiots and morons, and you are misunderstood.
      8) Get angry at all the people that think you are crazy when you talk about lucid dreaming.
      9) Get angry at your pillow not being fluffy enough, and swear at it.
      10) Go to bed, get really comfy, then realize you didn't turn the light of.
      I can go on like this forever, but you get the point.
      And you really need to focus on it, and get really really angry, until your heart starts beating fast. And you gotta know that it is for real, and that you are not 'faking it' YOU ARE ANGRY, NOT TRYING TO BE.

      I'll try use my emotions to induce lucid dreaming next time i get really angry. I'm glad to feel kind of chill right now so i'm not going to make myself angry for no other reason

      Too bad when i have angry thoughts at night I will not be able to sleep. But such is the same when i'm having very happy thoughts.

      Interesting view on this tho. Anger induced lucid dreaming, who would have thought...

      Emotions ARE very important in dreams tho. And not just anger imo! maybe you can expand on that and try to induce your lucid dreams with loving emotions in the future!(i'm thinking hot steamy sex dreams xD )

      @Dthoughts Making yourself angry 3mins before sleep won't harm you much, you will wake up so happy because you had a lucid dream !

      Yeah, emotions in dreams are insane!

      It would be hard doing it with emotions of love.. Because.. Thinking of someone you love wont really make you much more aware :p

      (being angry is just used as an induction before you fall asleep, you will not actually stay angry in a lucid dream [how can you not be happy in a LD xD ?], so you will still have an opportunity to enjoy your hot steamy sex dreams haha xD)

      First of all, thank you. You have no idea how much your post has inspired me and it has opened doorways for me to explore

      I did it Vortaix. I listened to a good song that really did it for me. Betray My Secrets - Forgive them . This masterpiece of a song builds up in a climax near the end of the song where the singer screams out his anger. In this state i think about all the wrongdoings of mankind and how WRONG it is.

      So I got angry. When i'm really angry i start feeling the undeniable urge to smash and punch and scream. Normally i must resist the urge to do that, but in this controlled exercise i felt content with just feeling the emotion. I had my eyes closed during the exercise because i felt it was the most comfortable thing to do.

      I feel my heart/chest area becomes pressurized at the moment of anger. Whereas i want to scream it out right from within my chest. In my arms and legs i feel potential energy build up and gives me the urge to punch and kick. I want to throw glass and hear noise but i know that this will never satisfy me in a bad mood. Only my own noise from my own body and my own power from my own hands will satisfy in calming the emotion.

      I can see why you state not to channel the energy during the induction but rather savoring it for in a dream. This is all potential energy that can be released in the dream. If you do so beforehand you will have used up your energy and the exercise will be futile.

      I have gained great insight from this and i want to thank you again. I want to explore this some more in meditation and hopefully open the door to explore more of this in meditation. I still believe other emotions like love can have the same effect you say in lucid dreams. Just.. different.

      hmm.. I don't know. I don't like sharing my dreams, it is a weakness to open your mind to that level..
      I will see.. I'll probably just write it in a notebook, and then maybe put it in DV Dream Journal.

      Okay, I'm going to sleep now. I'm so angry I have to wake up early tomorrow.. to STUDY, yes, study, then go have some driving lessons, then school. It's horrible.
      Now let me just lie in my bed, and focus on how stupid everything is until I start wanting to murder someone... My stomach is already feeling twingly and I breathe heavily, so it won't be a problem.

      Okay, so I tried it again...

      This time, I couldn't really get angry, I tried and I tried but I would just feel happy and relaxed instead.
      It's like the brain does the exact opposite.
      So at the end I got a little bit angry, but my heart rate didn't go up, I just 'felt' angry, and that 'feeling' was FAKE.

      So I didn't get lucid, but I got very vivid dreams and awesome recall.

      What I need to figure out for tonight is, how to REALLY get angry, I'll also try out being scared, or maybe watching horror movies so I would either get a faster pulse or have a nightmare which I would easily figure out is a dream.

      And next time my mood goes out of control, and I get angry for real, I will just build it up a little more and go to sleep.

      Hey vortaix, you should have something written out like how many times it has gotten you lucid, how many attempts. How often you got lucid before you started this. It would give people a good idea of how well and quick the technique works.

      Now for me, after 1 night.
      Basically it wasn't easy to get ANGRY.
      I was just annoyed because of school and the noises that wouldn't let me sleep.
      To feel anger while knowing there's no reason is hard.
      I'll practice next night again.

      Now an IMPORTANT question XD:
      Will fear work as well?
      Should I try this?
      I think I shall.
      Fear is also increasing heart rate, oxygen transport, etc., right?

      I believe I'm better at "inducing" fear...

      I got into an argument yesterday. I got a little pissed off and yelled at someone. This is really out of character for me. I never yell. Just typing this , that person interfered and got me all pissed again. I'm not angry it's just that this particular person gives rise to these feelings atm...

      Anyway, I wanted to say i just woke from a dream. Where i also got angry
      It was kind of vivid. And i regret not remember it perfectly
      i got angry because in the dream i took flight with an airplane and they took me to the WRONG country! i got really pissed about that and tried to change that with the flying people
      obviously i wasn't getting a lot of lucidity

      Now I tried fear. Worked better than yesterday, I could feel my heart working faster.
      Then I had a bit of trouble getting to sleep.
      But I remembered 1 very vivid dream - only that it was lost before I could write it down from my memory.
      We should do a bit more research, then you could post an official guide with more detail.
