A little help request - 7months without LD

Hy everybody!I came here with a problem, and I hope you can help me! I started the whole "LD thing" on 2012.07.13. maybe 14. and I still had no lucid dreams. I tried lots of techniques - ADA, LDD, WILD, MILD, IVWILD, WBTB, et cetera.( About 10 techniques) Now my "active" techniques are: ADA,RC, WBTB, WILD(Siesta).Sometimes I do Reality Checks, but I don't wake up fully, just to vividus-lucid, and it have happened dozens of time...My questions are:What can be my problems? How can I get my first LD?What techniques should I do/should i avoid?

(Sorry for my bad English, but I hope you can read my writings.)

I would suggest you clear your mind and start with a clean slate.

Basically, there are only two main techniques.

WILD - learning the basics, as well as the whole process is essential. The timing (WBTB or nap), your frame of mind, daytime awareness are important.

DILD - for this technique, RCs+emotions are essential, as are mantras and daytime awareness.

      And get ready for DEILD.

Re-read the tutorials in DV academy and Wiki.
      WILD (sageous)
      DILD (DV and gab)
      DEILD (dutchraptor)

Work on your dream recall if needed. Read all the tutorials but pick only one method for at least a month or two. Put your head into it, get excited and motivated by reading DV and DJs. Good luck

In addition to what gab said. I found out from experience that you should make sure you try only one technique and stick with just that one for... I don't know... 2 weeks? A month? Some people suggest 2 months. The point is stick with one until you have success or you really feel its not going to work for you. Having too much going on can be confusing. Being patient and persistent is the key. Once you begin to have some proficiency with one technique you can start switching it up. And really stick to the basic ones starting out. It will make all the difference.

Thank you for your replies. I'll try your advices from the next week because I had my first LD It was in my school, in the break, and I should choose between WILD and study, and I chose study, but at this part the dream changed, and I went to a new place, and did an RC.I was soooooo happy I did a 360 roll to stabilize the dream, but when I completed the turn everything went dark and I woke up. :/ But I was very happy when I woke up. By the way, I got my first LD with this method: Actually I wake up at 10-11o'clock in the morning, but today I got up at 7:20 and tried a WILD, and I fell asleep, but I could do at least 2 RC-s in my dream.

Very cool. Congratulations! Maybe dont spin next time. That usually destabilizes me and changes the dream scene rather than stabilize. But maybe that's just me.

I would strongly recommend you to read Billybob's article thoroughly How to Lucid Dream - Lucid Dreaming - Dream Views and also this http://www.dreamviews.com/dream-cont...-dreaming.html

These 2 are the best ones in my opinion, those helped me a lot to throw out all the 'lies' of inducing LDs in my head. Those threads might sound general, but techniques per se are not important. Believing yourself that you're able to do anything always comes first

btw, you and I have same Avatar picture haha (if you go to my profile you'll see it lol)

Spin always reverses the course of the dream for me. If it is stable, spinning will make it unstable. If it is unstable, spinning will stabilize it. This makes it the last possible thing I do before I wake up, but lately I stopped because I normally move my real body and lose a chance to DEILD.

      @ kauro
Consistency is very key to LDing. I would recommend 1 month per technique personally. If it works, keep it and do another tech that doesn't go against it. Increase your dream recall, because that increases the amount of times you try for an LD. Check out my tutorial underneath as well as the "dream signs and recall" sub forum. Good luck on lucids.

Makes sense. I'll have to remember that.
