Unless you could not move no matter what, you did not have SP. You don't need SP to WILD.

You are most likely trying to enter a dream from REM atonia, not SP. (Sleep Paralysis is an actual sleeping disorder that is often confused with REM atonia. Sleep paralysis, as Gab stated, is not necessary to WILD).

It can take a bit of practice to get to the final stage, especially if you're overly excited. Try to visualize yourself rolling out of bed, or sliding off the end of your bed. This should pull you right into the dream. Seeing through your eyelids is usually a good indication that you're seeing the dream world rather than the physical world. (Unless you sleep with your eyes open.) Good luck!

I think I know what he's talking about though, this is what happens to me, but I can say it in a different way. I think he means that once he gets the waves of tingling which he is referring to as SP. there is nothing that happens. Personally I can't do much, no matter how hard I try concentrating on visualization I don't get any HI or HH or anything. I just lay there wondering what to do, or am I done. I try to do motionless RC's, but they fail. I'm pretty sure this is what he is asking, because it's what I asked when I didn't know the difference either. Anyone have an answer for this?

Sorry to break it to you but you are failing hardcore. If you are referring to SP, then you are probably trying to stay completely still and wait for vibrations to occur. You are probably just laying still in your bed trying to focus on being as still as a mummy. Your eyes are closed but slowly open and you think your eyes are still closed. This is exactly what happened to me.
Only way i figured out how to WILD was through the DEILD method. I mistook vibrations for numbness.

You don't always get HH. Sometimes you have different sensations, as I describe in article linked in my above post. Other than that, just keep doing it.

Vibrations and tingling are two different things. I understand that for someone who never had vibrations before it's hard to tell the difference. Best thing I can recommend is to read the WILD linked above and keep trying. It may take many tries to get any result at all. That doesn't mean you are doing anything wrong. It just doesn't always work, even if you doing it right.

You don't need to visualize, other than get your mind into dreaming mood by thinking (not trying to see) any of your previous cool dreams. When you get closer to falling asleep and HH are destinned to happen, the dream you are thinking about will help to get more dreamlets. But it also may not. It's not an exact science. Take lots of tries and patience. But I promise you, you will not be disappointed.
