Truly best method varies from person to person and can be found through experimenting, but generally, starting with DILD is way to go for beginners, because it lets one become more familiar with general lucid dreaming techniques and awareness and because WILD becomes easier after one gets some DILDs. Also if you have time after waking up you can add WBTB or nap, those generally can help lucid dreaming alot.
