Anyway because of this when ever I wake up in the night now, I will roll over and sometimes I start to hear ringing and it would get louder and louder and then I usually fall asleep straight after because I don't know if that's sleep paralysis or not. The other night was different, no ringing but weird stuff did happen. I was laying there and every few seconds I heard a weird sound and it kept getting louder and more audible. After about 10 seconds, it sounded like a guitar or violin - next thing I know I am standing by my bed in a Lucid Dream. Anyway... when this happens, what can I do to transfer to a lucid dream and not fall asleep?
Hi there! When falling asleep or during your wild attempts, you may experience what is sometimes referred to as noise, visual or auditory hallucinations. They are called noise because they may or may not happen, but are not necessary in order to have an ld. Actually, they indicate that your body is in the process and perhaps even already asleep, while your mind is more awake than during the usual falling asleep process. This is not sleep paralysis. Sleep paralysis is when you are uncapable of moving and you may or may not have any special effects during this occurence. Similarly, sleep paralysis is not necessary in order to WILD. Unless you have this condition happen to you naturally, there is no need to seek it.

It looks like you have successfully transitioned on this occasion. If you get to the stage where noise is present, you can wait a bit and then try to imagine yourself floating up or rolling off bed, etc. Also, you may picture a different scene altogether and either try to enter it by imagining yourself in it or doing motions inside (running, seeing hands and grabbing objects). Sometimes if you have already transitioned, just picturing the scene may result in you quickly ending up there.
