Is this why i can't do any technique?

I've been sleeping on my right side for a long time now, can't remember dreams greatly and i never seem to get lucid. One day, i did WBTB and decided to sleep on my back, and i became lucid that time, now i tried the same thing but with sleeping on my right and it didn't work.

To sum it up, is this why i can't perform any technique?

Sleeping position should not have any effect on dreaming or lucid dreaming. Although buddhist monks say, that females should sleep on one side, and males on the other. But for us, common folk, it doesn't play any significant role.

The goal is to fall asleep, so you should be in your comfortable position.

To answer your question, no this isn't a big deal and it shouldn't discourage you. LDs can be a bit random so you can't put too much weight on one particular night, either positive or negative.

For the sake of curiosity though, it's possible that sleeping in a different position from your normal could have been a factor. In this case though, it's not which position but simply that it was unusual. The reasoning is that when you sleep in unusual conditions, you're instinctively more alert, thus sleeping lighter (more time in REM) and with more awareness. The same reasoning also applies to increased LDs by getting up and moving to the couch, sleeping in hotels, napping or sleeping later in the morning, sleeping while sick, unusual weather, sound, light, etc.
I am sure about illusion. I am not so sure about reality.

Definitely not an issue. I usually change the sides I sleep on (can't choose!) and it doesn't have any effect on my dreams. I think you had a placebo effect with that lucid. You were confident that you would become lucid if you changed sleeping positions, and it worked! It's all about confidence. If you're confident in your lucid dreaming abilities, then you'll definitely get more lucid dreams.
