I like how thoroughly you do your RC's. Those are the best kind. Even if you don't use them, they still help you get lucid. Because you set your mind on Lucidity and critical thinking. I do agree with Buckey a little bit. You often use them to confirm your suspicion, rather then to actually get lucid. Though as I said before, they DO help you get lucid. And of course there is the very occasional RC in a dream that you do out of habit, that gives you lucidity. Though they are rare. All in all I would say, keep doing RC's!
As for what to do when you have no body to RC. I was in that situation last week. What I did was, close my eyes and do a nose plug. That way you don't actually need to visually see any body part. You can do it on feeling and that other sense where you know where your body parts are at all times Those are 2 sense that generally don't fail me in a dream. But honestly, if you want to Check Reality, and you have no hands.. That in itself is a pretty good RC :p You don't have to use your standard RC's per se. As long as you know it's a dream, it works right?
