I think I need some new reality checks

I generally work on the assumption that everything COULD be a dream, I test gravity, I try to go through walls, I recite my day backwards and then forwards to check for scene transitions, I try to change the taste of food and drinks just by thinking about it, and sometimes it takes me a long while to determine whether I'm dreaming or not. In terms of basic reality checks, when I see my dream signs, I do the nose pinch and the hand check, but then sometimes in dreams it's like I don't have a body to check on, none of this works right now, any advice please?

You know I have been LD since I was a kid and just always knew what was a dream and what was reality but since joining this forum I read all kinds of tips and tricks especially the reality checks but like you said I sometimes don't have a body to check on and even when I do I honestly forget to do RC >_> LOL

You don't use reality checks to get lucid, you use them to check if you're Lucid.

I like how thoroughly you do your RC's. Those are the best kind. Even if you don't use them, they still help you get lucid. Because you set your mind on Lucidity and critical thinking. I do agree with Buckey a little bit. You often use them to confirm your suspicion, rather then to actually get lucid. Though as I said before, they DO help you get lucid. And of course there is the very occasional RC in a dream that you do out of habit, that gives you lucidity. Though they are rare. All in all I would say, keep doing RC's!

As for what to do when you have no body to RC. I was in that situation last week. What I did was, close my eyes and do a nose plug. That way you don't actually need to visually see any body part. You can do it on feeling and that other sense where you know where your body parts are at all times Those are 2 sense that generally don't fail me in a dream. But honestly, if you want to Check Reality, and you have no hands.. That in itself is a pretty good RC :p You don't have to use your standard RC's per se. As long as you know it's a dream, it works right?
      Lucid Dream Goal:
      A perfect week!

One week with at least 1 Lucid Dream in every night.
