I think it's because when you do it in your dreams, you're not questioning reality (are you? It doesn't seem like you are). You're just doing it because that's what the dream wants you to do. Plus, you're likely not used to reality checking yet, so to you looking at your hands might not mean "Reality check". |

It is not weird things that will make you lucid, but becoming aware. Lucid techniques are to make you more aware in dreams and to make you aware of the dreaming state. Because even if you become really aware in a dream, without thinking about dreams, you will just have awesome dreams. |

Ohh, like that.. |

DILD ain't a direct technique, it gives you a chance of becoming lucid and if you do it well then that chance might get really high. |

If you read this do a reality check, you will thank me later...
Yes, but the direct technique is really a chance too, up to a point. If you start with DILD, your chances increase of having an LD way more than if WILD. Also if you do DILD first (or start both at the same time), then it makes it easier to raise your chances for both. As it stands, I have been LDing for about 2 years, and after thousands of WILD attempts, I can get about 3/week. DILD I have a minimum of about 6/week. |
