I've noticed a lot of posts like this lately -- some new, some older -- discussing what lies between us and the techniques we use. I think of it as an engine: everyone has some kind of lubricant running through the parts. This lubricant helps the different parts of the engine to operate without overheating, but is often overlooked in favor of the engine itself.

But same way with techniques. I noticed a significant increase in LDs when I changed my attitude from "must have" an LD to "can't wait for my next" LD. But that is something I can't convey in a technique thread. It's not even a technique; it's just some words I said to myself! And yet it could easily be pushed aside as "yeah, affirmation" or whatever.

Cool thread. And I think it would be fair to add that what works today may not work in a few months; this stuff needs to constantly applied and reapplied. Thank you for this post!
