Unhappy Why in most Dreams, when I'm dreaming, I fail to Lift my hands and Look at them?

I've only had about 2 lucids and in those lucids i did lift my hands and put them in front of me and look at them. But 2 lucids in 3 years.... That's tons of nights when I didn't look at my hands(or at the mirror or anything).

Why is it? Why I can't THINK in my dream and remember to look at my hands?
I do alot of mantras and meditation in waking life telling myself that i will remember to do it.

Are some people justs don't have a good memory and that's why we don't remember to do it?
Maybe that's the difference between people who h ave daily Lucids and people who don't.

The dream state is characterized by a "fog", or extra level of dullness sitting on top of our usual awareness, and impaired access to memory. To cut through this fog one needs to cultivate a really keen sense of self-awareness during the waking day, and practice access to memory. This takes time, but is well worth the investment.

What sort of meditation do you do?

You may want to read "Dreaming Yourself Awake: Lucid Dreaming and Tibetan Dream Yoga for Insight and Transformation". It has particular instructions on the sorts of meditation that can be helpful for lucid dreaming (samatha, or concentration, meditation).

Ohhh interesting. Yeah cause yesterday night. it was awesome. Had many Dream recalls. And in one i pointed at some person, with my finger, so my hand was in front of me, I coul've remembered "hey let me check my hand" but i didn't.

I guess i need to get back to awareness practice. I think i read an article out there describing how to do it.
