      WILD help

hey, i have been trying many techniques for a long time now, mostly WILD, MILD and VILD... i seem to get the best results with WILD but can't take it over the last step.

i get to the stage of feeling like i am falling, feeling like an electrical current is flowing thru me and even like i am being crushed. i also sometimes get to the point of hearing strange noises.

but as soon as the noises i come i become to concious of them and become more alert, having to start over again.

my question is this; do you have any advise on how i can push myself over the edge and into the dream world? i know i am so close, i just can't get there.

      thanks in advance.

      -Joem

Perhaps you are trying too much?

Let go a little bit and try not conecntrating so much, because when you focus too much on it, it'll cause you to well, loose focus on simply falling asleep in the first place.

Also, perhaps try playing music nearby, and focus on it a little to simply let go of the profound concentration.

There's several more techniques to help, but I'd be able to give better advice with your feedback on the concentration level.

      How hard do you try?

I've done WILD only one time. When i had the sensation of falling i talled to myself: "Now i will go into the dream". This worked just fine

I think it may just take some more time. For me it was a progressive thing and the last thing was to get past the point you are at. Try like O'nus says and not concentrate too hard on the noises. Keep them in the background and remind yourself that you are about to enter a dream. If you feel paralyzed try to roll out of bed, float out of bed, or sink through the bed.

      thanks

thanks people, i think that may be it, trying to hard... i often only concentrate on becoming lucid and nothing else... i'll try having some music playing lowly so i can concentrate on that more tomorrow night...

      thanks again.

I have the same problem. If I think about "anything" at all I can't fall asleep and end up just laying there forever.

The best way to clear your mind is to picture a mountain with clouds floating up and over it into nothingness. Whenever a thought comes into your head picture it as a cloud, and let it disappear. I can't remember where I read this, but it works for me really well.

I have a question too. Anyone else has the feeling like they want to open their eyes right when you start seeing anything than normal blackness? Some times it kind of like they start opening by themself and then either you open them or you like focus to much on it then you mess it up and start over.

When I try a WILD sometimes I do a reverse one or something... My mind goes to sleep but my body doesnt. It has happend alot of times that my body does something that I'm doing in my sleep. Like punching something, or I've accidently tripped in my dream and then I move my legs, and I wake myself up. Its weird, heh.
