I think you explained it well yourself. If you listen to these mantras for a whole 10 hour shift then you're probably not going to pay much attention to it. I find that, for most forms of MILD, focusing on the mantra is the most important part of the technique. If you don't focus then you won't achieve maximum results. I'm also not a huge proponent for things involving subconscious and recommend just focusing on it intermittently throughout your shift, maybe during a downtime or every 30 minutes to an hour. Though I don't think there's really any harm in playing these mantras for your whole shift outside of getting annoyed/bored. |

A mantra is supposed to be singular, but having some self affirmations is good. Self affirmation is good foreground and background. Your mantra is kind of supposed to always be a background idea. I have done something similar with my mantra (I'm dreaming) and found that if I did this, I would come up with the words in my dream, since one of the main points of LDing is not only awareness in itself, but awareness of the dream state, so if that word comes up, it is a good thing. All around, I would say it is a good supplement practice, but would need a good sleep schedule and night work to work. |
