      Using glasses as reality check?

Hiya people, long time no see dreamviews

I've decided to recently go back to lucid dreaming and since few days i've been keeping dream journal again
I picked activity of starting conversation with someone for a time when i would perform reality check, since in 99% of my dreams i talk with DCs atleast once

But there was problem with reality check, i needed one that was ultra fast since you know it's hard to reality check aswell as keep conversation going without looking as if you weren't listening to what people were saying
I had tons of ideas for reality checks but eventually i think i've grabbed a good one
Not long ago, about a year i've started wearing glasses, i wear everywhere yet during whole year's dreams i've seen them only once inside dream
So i though it might be possible to turn that lack of glasses into reality check

      Here's my plan:
      - Someone starts talking to me or i start talking to someone
      - Ask myself question 'am i wearing glasses'
      - Check if i wear them
      - If i don't then perform secondary reality check breathing through closed nose and decide whether im dreaming or not
      - If i wear them then answer to question with i'm not
      - Continue conversation or either enjoy lucid dreaming adventure

I'd love to hear your opinion about my idea guys, since well... my lucid dreaming skills kinda rusted from all that inactivity hehe.
      - Thanks <3
      I'm back! Again? Uhhh..

I was wearing glasses in a non-lucid dream just the other day and when I put them on and off vision quality changed, but latter I wasn't wearing them and vision was perfectly dreamlike

A while back I encountered a dream sign of glasses: in the real world I have 3 identical pairs, but I have lost one pair, I had a dream where all three pairs were lying on the same table, I thought nothing of it, but when I woke up I thought did I find the other pair last night, nope it was a dream

Sure LUCID DREAMS are all fun and games until someone loses a third eye.

Despite very popular opinion, dream signs should not be picked based on how frequently you're aware of them during your dreams. Rather, they should be picked on how often you explicitly think about them during your dreams.

You associate the dream sign with dreaming, so that when you think about explicitly about the dream sign itself, you think about dreaming. Because of this, it's the thought of the awareness, rather than the awareness itself that makes you lucid. This is because in order for the association with the dream sign to come across you mind, the dream sign itself has to come across your mind first!

So, in order for the dream sign of talking to somebody to work, you have to think "I am talking to somebody" while conversing with them. Thinking about other things during the conversation like what you're saying, what you're going to say, what they're saying, who you're talking to, what they look like, ect. won't work unless the thought leads you to the thought that you're talking to somebody.

The same idea applies to the lack of glasses and every other dream sign. How often are you thinking "I don't have glasses" during your dreams?

Pick you're dream signs based on how often you explicitly think about them rather than how often they occur during your dreams, because you don't think about everything that happens during your dreams, and in order for the dream sign to work, it has to come across your mind in the first place.

Think about what you're thinking about during your dreams.

^ That's an interesting point. I've often wondered why certain dream signs tended to cause me lucidity easily while others simply seem not to despite their frequency. I think this may be the reason. For instance, seeing certain light fixtures act odd (or not being able to turn on lights of any kind, even battery-operated ones) usually make me start thinking, “This is getting odd. Is it another dream?” But I hardly seem to recognize when I'm in, say, my old childhood house again, which probably makes sense because I'm not usually thinking much about where I am in waking life, either, when I'm at home.
