The body rejuvenates with slow-wave sleep, not REM sleep. So, if exercise does have an impact on lucid dreaming, it has to do with the mental aspect of it rather than the physical aspect. |

There are numerous articles on the internet on the correlation between sleep and exercise showing that the more active you are the better sleep you will probably have. Has anyone noticed this to have benefited them? Would there be anyone willing to do a study with me to see if it helps? |

I just find that exercise helps me fall asleep in the first place, so that i don't have to stay up for an hour before falling asleep. For lucid dreaming? i have no idea. |

Ok so I actually did a little bit of research and I discovered something a bit interesting. Aerobic exercise increases the amount of dopamine in the brain which everyone should understand by now. This is links up to one of the dopamine receptors called DRD1. When dopamine comes into contact with this receptor it produces a chemical called acetylcholine. Acetylcholine also is what is used in one of the lucid dreamers supplement of choice galantamine. I'll probably find a few more things and report them here but if you guys find a flaw in this make sure to let me know. |

Dopamine isn't the sole cause. If dopamine triggers and prevents the break down of acetylcholine it should help with memory. I hate to be that guy but read the damn post. |

I've been exercising today so hopefully I find out something today haha. I haven't really noticed anything previously but I wasn't looking out for anything. Exercise definitely helps you get to sleep though, makes you properly tired. |

Sure, but the effects of Exercise on memory has already been studied, and its related to incread bloodflow and oxygen density in the brain, not the effects of dopamine. |

Gl!!!! Hope you find something although I think it probably has a greater chance of working over long term more than anything but don't be hesitant to share something!!! |
