When you sleep, you dont dream ALL the time. The most dreams happens in phases that are called REM - Phases (REM = Rapid Eye Movement). The goal on a WBTB (wich means Wake Back To Bed) is to wake up right before a REM-Phase. If you want to do that, set you alarm clock to somewhere arounf 4-6 hours after you go to sleep. The exact time is different from person to person. These WBTBs are very usefull when you want to use a WILD or a SSILD technique. It doesnt really help with DILD techniques though.

Well, this is only a rough explanation, if you want to read more about it, you can go to the thread located under WIKI - DV TUTORIALS - WBTB TUTORIAL

I need to make a thread about this specifically , but here is a post I made talking about WBTB.

The post is specifically about small wbtbs, but I recommend having 3-6 small wbtbs a night and 1 or 2 big WBTBs a night, since they both accomplish the same thing to varrying degrees.

Here's the wiki tutorial UglyCookie is referring to: WBTB Tutorial - Lucid Dreaming - Dream Views
